Window XP Home edition

Dear Sir, Readers ,

At present I am using Window 98 SE & I have one small
progame which is written in FOXPRO25, DOS base and
everthing is working fine. I would like to up grade with my
new purchase of window xp home edition but some one told me
that my this FOXPRO25 base DOS prg. may face conflict (
problem) & it may not even work !! Any one can tell me if
is it true ? Before I insatlled my new window xp home
edition, it is immoprtant to know so I can do somthing to
tarnsfer my DOS Data. Even some one telling me that now
slowly slowly DOS will go ! & windows will not accept DOS
on their platform !! Kindly guide me on the matter discussed.

XP does not include DOS, although it does have a fake dos shell. There
is a compatibility program that will allow some older programs, and
others won't. The only way to really know is to try it. However I would
recommend stepping into the year 2003 with a current database program
that will work with XP. At the very least backup your data and if
possible put it a non-dos format. There are many free software programs
out there maybe you can find one you like better.
