window to open fully

hi can anyone tell me when I right click on an item in exploerer and open it
in a new window how can i get the new window to be full size rather than half
size

First, *close all other windows*. Now, grab the corners of the window and
drag it to full screen size. Close the window using File>Close, or File>Exit
depending what program you're in. Windows will remember the last screen size
used the next time you open the program.

This has been bugging me for weeks. I knew it was a simple solution but could
not work it out. Thanks. I am now very happy at not having to muck about with
my windows. Cheers Bruce!

IE (explorer) will save the size of the window if you maximize it and
close it with the File -> Exit, and not the "X" in the upper right.
You might try applying that to other applications. But more info is
needed as to what you are clicking on. You say 'item'. What item?

Stretch/drag the window to full screen size, DON'T Maximize, that is the
reason it keeps opening at the "half size" you started with.
