Window Sizing

What determines the size of each new window that opens ? My preference
would be to have full size each time but currently each new screen is
reduced and I have to select maximse to make window full screen size.

Hi,

The size of the last one closed determines the size of the next set opened.
Close all but one, drag it out to the preferred size. Then close it using
file/close. Now open a new instance of the window.
