window size

When I try to open a new window, a full-sized window
doesn't appear...only a 2-inch, rectangular button that
contains the three sizing squares (those three squares
that appear at the top right corner of every screen). I
have to click on the maximize square to see the window.
This happened all of a sudden. How do I go back to
clicking for a new window and getting one that's full-
sized?

First, *close all other windows*. Now, grab the corners of the window
and drag it to full screen size. Close the window using File>Close,
or File>Exit depending what program you're in. Windows will remember
the last screen size used the next time you open the program.
