I've had this problem in W2K and XP. Somehow, I get an
application window maximized, and cannot resize it back
down to a "normal" size. The window is either maximized
or minimized at the bottom of the screen. Anybody have
ideas with how to solve this?

Hi Stan,

See if this helps:

Don't choose Maximize. Close all other windows. Right click its entry on the
taskbar and choose Size. Use the arrow keys to make it the size you want.
Close it that way. Then re-open.

Actually you were close. Turns out that the application
window was very small and way off the left side of the
viewable screen area (we're talking miles away). I chose
Move and used the right arrow key (not the mouse) to move
the window back into view. Then I could easily resize it
and all returned to normal. Not sure what causes this to
happen in XP and 2000, but I've had it happen 2 or 3
times now. Thanks for the help.
