I would like to know if it is possible to redefine the shortcut
'Windows + E'. Today it normally opens explorer, but i would like it
to open a different explorer application.

You might like Hotkey Plus. It won't remap Windows' keyboard shortcuts but
you can use it to make your own to do whatever you wish.

Using it, if you want explorer to open a particular folder, the command line
would be...

explorer.exe

and the parameters would be...

/e,"put full path to folder here"

A space is required before the "/e,". More info in my dandies, see sig.

Not natively, but there's lots of third-party software that can do
this. Do a Google search on redefine Windows shortcut keys.

Winkey+E is a standard keyboard shortcut that cannot be changed.

You may be interested in a freeware utility called Winkey. This allows the
Windows Key ("WinKey") to be programmed to launch any executable file, or open
any drive or folder. See this page for a download link:

This utility (Winkey) will not work on Vista.
