Windos display windows

Amnon Wilensky

Hi,
Because I am using 1280 by 1024 setting, when I am opening guide windows,
like Control panel >Display and get the Display Properties window, the
appearance of the fonts are so small that I barely can read.
How can I change the size of the fonts without change the setting?

Thanks,
Amnon

Right click Desktop | Properties | Settings tab |
Advanced button | DPI setting

DPI setting
[[Lists the available DPI (dots per inch) sizes for the selected monitor.
Increasing the DPI increases the size of everything on your screen.
Decreasing the DPI decreases the size of everything on your screen.
To use a different size, click a DPI size in the list or choose Other, which
allows you to customize the DPI setting for your monitor.]]

[[If you choose Other in the DPI setting list, you can set custom options in
the Custom DPI Setting dialog box either by selecting one of the percentage
options in the drop-down list or by clicking on the ruler and dragging the
pointer to specify a setting. ]]

From XP HELP:

To change your Window fonts
1 Open Display in Control Panel.
2 On the Appearance tab, in Font size, click a new font size.

* This option enables you to enlarge the fonts used in window headers, icon
labels, and menus.
* The font size options are based on the current theme, visual style, and
color scheme. For some themes, styles, or schemes, you may only have one
font size option.

To change the look of Window elements
1 Open Display in Control Panel.
2 On the Appearance tab, click Advanced.
3 In the Item list, click the element you want to change, such as Window,
Menu, or Scrollbar, and then adjust the appropriate settings, such as color,
font, or font size.
4 Click OK or Apply to save your changes.

* Changing the look of individual items is only useful if you select Windows
Classic in the Windows and buttons list on the Appearance tab. If you select
a different option, the theme determines the appearance of your menus,
fonts, icons, and other Window elements.
* The Font area will be unavailable for elements in the Item list that do
not display text.

Amnon -
Which window font do you want to change? Is it the ones below the icons on
the desktop? The ones in menus? Or.... If you can be more specific, I would
be better able to help you.
