Win98 0n XP home

Sorry to sound naive (i am), how can i get win 95/98 programmes to work on my
new Dell Dimension 5000 with Win XP Home edition installed. I have lots of
great games that i cannot play anymore because they wont work on this
computer. Is there some way of doing it through XP or do i need to partition
the HD or add another HD?

Some games may not play under XP if the game is designed to
directly address the hardware, but most games (and other
software) will run under XP by use of the compatibility
mode. Find the .exe file for the game (program) and right
click on it, select properties. You'll see a compatibility
tab. Follow the directions and use the help.

A lot of older games will play correctly on XP without using the
"Compatibility Mode" options. However, a lot of older Windows games may
require "administrator" type access and will not work on limited user type
accounts.

.......another option would be to install "Microsoft Virtual PC" !! From
there you can install Win98 or any other OS ( except Linux ) without messing
up your partition or doing a dual-boot and you can play ANY Win98 game you
like !

Works very well on my Notebook !!!
