Win32/Urlbot.A

Hi,
Anyone have any info on this trojan? I use NOD32 as my
antivirus software and I keep coming across it if I try and install
the latest build of Spector Pro from www.spectorsoft.com. I've emailed
them about it but they deny it is related to their software,
unfortunately they seem to be in denial. I've googled, but can find no
info on Win32/Urlbot.A.
Any help as to what it does is apprciated,

Steven.

Google turned up one page for me at this hour. Update 2003-10-15 section
near the bottom. No word on what it is, however.

It's not listed in Project VGREP so it's probably fairly new. If you
have a file less than 1 meg in size that NOD32 alerts on, upload the
file for scanning by KAV here:

http://www.kaspersky.com/remoteviruschk.html

See if KAV alerts. If KAV doesn't alert it may be a false positive in
which case NOD should be sent a sample for analysis.

Maybe spector pro itself is what NOD32 detects as the trojan, it would
certainly qualifies as one.

Run spybot S&D www.security.kolla.de and see if something turns up that
looks like a logger. In my opinion it must be related to this Spector
you are running.
