Hi,

If I understand correctly, Windows 2000 Pro allows for up to 10 concurrent
connections from other devices. Is there any link where I can confirm this
and get more details as to what exactly this limit means and what happens
when this limit is reached etc?

I checked the KB and Win2K Pro online docs but couldn't find much there.

Thank you.

You did not quote the KB articlel you checked - the one below
may be the same you read:

Thank you Pegasus for your reply. I looked at the KB article you recommended
and got even more confused.

I currently have 20-25 Linux based devices connecting to a Win2K Pro box
simultaneously without any issue. These devices use TCP/IP to talk to an app
on a particular port on the Pro box. Does this mean that 10 connection limit
is only for Windows boxes trying to make a connection to a Pro box?

Thank you.
