Win2K Pro endless reboot loop

Okay...heres the problem. Win2K Pro will not startup.
Gets as far as the Win2K splash screen, and the blue
loading bar finishes. Computer then reboots. Have tried
safe mode, last known good, and repair from the CD.
Computer does not reboot when booting to the Pro CD.
Running SP3. No changes to hardware or new software.
Computer is an IBM, model 6270. Any ideas? Mucho thanks
in advance

What's the history on this? What changed between that last successful reboot
and now. You may have to troubleshoot this from a "parallel install" to find
out what the blue screen is.

Boot with Win98 and then...

1) Make a directory called /WINNT/SYSTEM32/CONFIG/TEMP
2) Move /WINNT/SYSTEM32/CONFIG/SYSTEM* /WINNT/SYSTEM32/CONFIG/TEMP
3) Copy /WINNT/REPAIR/SYSTEM* /WINNT/SYSTEM32/CONFIG

....then boot to Win2000 and it SHOULD work. If it doesn't, move the files
from TEMP back and try something else. If it does work, delete the TEMP
directory.

Mmh. Sounds good for those who have Win2000 installed in a FAT32
partition but not so good for the majority who use NTFS partitions.
