Win2K pro and 64 bit AMD

I just got an AMD 64 bit chip and ECS mobo. I am trying to install my 32 bit
copy of Win2K Pro on it. I *thought* it would be simple, but when I try I
get the error:

\i386\ntkrnlmp.exe could not be loaded. error code is 4. setup cannot
continue

Is this a known incompatibility, or is this telling me I have some kind of
other hw problem, or what?

Any other "gotchas" running W2K on an AMD 64 bit chip that I should know
about?

Many thanks for the help.

Many thanks .. sounds like my old CD has finally died? Humm.. now to
figure out how to get a new one from our Friends in Redmond... ideally one
patched up to SP4 to save me all that work..

thx again.

May be damaged or is incompatible hardware. I'd also give this a go.

thanks - its brand new mushkin ram but still its a new hw setup so may be
something going on.

just seems odd that i've reinstalled w2k many times and never had a
problem... now this... i never thought of the media as the problem but that's
what the error says.
