One of our user's PC keeps on looping during the reboot process. Once it gets
to Win2K windows with the progress bar at the bottom, it reboots itself.
Can someone please tell me what could be going on; would it a matter of
copying new system files, i.e NTLDR or NTDETECT.COM ?
Thanks for any suggestions or comments.

It's more than likely a driver problem. Boot into safe mode and turn on
boot logging, then reboot. After the reboot fails, boot back into safe mode
and check ntbtlog.txt in %Systemroot% and you can identify the failing
driver.

Chances are NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM are okay. You're waaay past that when the
failure occurs.

Colon, thank you for your reply. I tried what you suggested, but when I go
into safe mode it does the same thing... it reboots itself.
Any other ideas!? I was just thinking of repairing the system files by usin
the OS cd.
THanks again.
