It's OEM software and I don't believe it's legal to sell it outright (ie
without purchase of a PC). Two other things that would concern me is the
fact that there is no contact information whatsoever and the other, when you
go to the purchase page there isn't even a secure connection (meaning your
credit card information would be sent without being encrypted). I wouldn't
trust it.

this stuff is all over the web,
http://software.klcbhgf.biz/?M_ORO1gi4QTF2Mgsoftware
is this stuff for real? or is copied from some original oem disk
so then if perhaps not an illegal copy, is it legal to sell oem software??
for example; can a computer builder who has legally purchased oem software
bought from ms, sell that software only without it being installed on some
pc they have built??

Actually it is legal but the fact of non secure ordering would keep me
away too. MS sells software to computer builders at reduced rates, it
is SUPPOSED to be provided only with a computer but as the stock
starts to become outdated alot of companies start selling it off to
make room for the new stuff. I went to the local computer store and
their prices were a bit higher.
What the local store buys is a set of licenses instead of the actual
cds's, they do get one cd. They then charge you for the license when
they install the software, at a profit of course. MOST local stores
will include the cd but not all of them.

Actually, if you had clicked the links provided and then read that
site's self-contradictory,broken English "FAQ," you'd probably have
known it was a scam.

Full OEM CDs that are full retail versions that are legal as backup
media? Shipped from eastern Europe? All CDs shipped with the serial
number included in a text file? Definitely not legitimate CDs.

A secure connection just prevents a wire-tapper from seeing your
password or credit card number in transit. I worry more about the
seller getting the number an abusing them. Didn't we agree that it is a
sleazy operation?

thanks for the clarifications, anything that sounds too good to be
