win2K and SATA drives

I'm building a new system and have installed 2 identical SATA drives (my
first experience with SATA drives) on an intel mb with the 875 chipset.. The
bios recognizes both drives but windows only sees one and installed itself
on that drive OK. I was sorta planning on just using these two drives
independantly as if they were standard parallel IDE drives (as C: and D:)
but maybe Win2K won't allow that and requires SATA drives to be set up as
RAID only? I'd appreciate any feedback on this.

Check to see what Disk Management has to say about it. From the "Run" box;
diskmgmt.msc
