WIN16 Subsystem

After installing updates and McAfee Virus Scan, I now
have a problem:

When I try to load previously working programs or CD's I
get an Error code:

The Win16 Subsystem was unable to enter Protected Mode,
DOSX.EXE must be in your Autoexec.nt and present in your
Path
 
What do you mean by 'load' in "load previously working programs"? Run?
Install? ??

What 'programs'?
