WIN XP with LEXMARK Z82

I had Win 98SE. Upgraded to xp home. Already had the Z
82 which worked fine with 98SE. Discovered I needed to
upgrade drivers from Lexmark. Did that. Z82 worked OK
but a little kinky for a few weeks, then went for a
vacation.

At the current point, I have print from flatbed
capability, but cannot print from any program (clicking
printer icon nor C+P) Additionally, will not scan.

Uninstalled Lexmark program. Now it won't reinstall &
keeps telling me program is not in my language. (English)
Contacted Lexmark - they say it's a HP (my computer brand
problem, something with the bios settings) but I think
the truth lies somewhere in an incompability with XP.

Any advice, help? Please e me directly. Thanks
Joy

It's a Lexmark. See Bruce Sanderson's instructions on how to COMPLETELY
remove all traces of the previous installation.... pay particular attention
to his special section on Lexmark printers.

When you have finished, reboot the PC. Download a new set of drivers from
the Lexmark website and do NOT reconnect the printer to the PC until the
software tells youi to do so. The problem was caused by your keeping the
printer connected to the PC during the upgrade.
