Win XP SP2 "Setup was unable to open information file hide 4# -Stop Error 07B"

I want to add a Windows component using Control Panel - Add/Remove
Programs. I inserted my XP SP2 CD and clicked on the add component
icon. I get this error message:

"Setup was unable to open information file hide4#. Contact your System
Administrator. The specific error code is 0x7B at line 2088999592." I
looked in Microsoft KB and could only find references to SP1 and SP1a.
I also tried using the backup copy of my XP SP2 CDrom and got the same
result. I would appreciate your help here. Thank you.
