Your post is unclear. Are you trying to install XP as a clean install, or
are you trying to install SP2 on an already running XP system? When do
these error messages occur? What is the exact text of the messages? If a
clean install was XP ever on this system?

Thanks for the reply.

I was trying to install sp 2 on my windows xp computer via the windows
updates, which I also attempted with the sp 2 cd as well, and during the
installation of the SP 2 I received the following error message:

"An error occured while copying file wabmig.exe, 50.exe and OEMIGLIB.DLL.
Cannot copy file to destination directory. Click Retry to retry the operation
or click cancel.

I did click retry and the operation still would not carry through and I
resulted to cancelling the operation.

I hope this is much clearer.

Thanks

Wabmig.exe and oemiglib.dll are associated with outlook express and normally
go in the C:\Program Files\Outlook Express. I don't know about 50.exe,
though there are oemig50.exe and setup50.exe, both in that same folder.
Check to make sure you have write permission for that folder.
