Win Xp service pack

Dose any one know when Microsoft is going to release service pack 2 for
Windows XP home and Pro? I have seen that Microsoft has released Beta copies
of SP2. I have also found on on a web site. I have downloaded it but I am
not sure if I should install it or not. ( Just to test it out).

SP2 for Windows XP is scheduled to be released sometime mid-2004.
Since SP2 for Windows XP is strictly in the beta testing stage,
there is no support for it unless you are a Microsoft approved
beta tester and subscribe to the Microsoft SP2 beta testing
newsgroups. If you are not a beta tester, than do not install
SP2 beta and wait until the final released version becomes
available sometime mid-2004.
