Win XP -- RIS Deployment and Embeded Intel PRO 10/100

Hello All,

I'm trying to deploy WinXP Using a RIS server (know to work for other
machines) the only issue is that these new machines have the Embeded Intel
Pro 10/100 and it gives me a message that the image does not have the
supported drivers for it during the text portion of the set up.

Know I know that XP pro brings drivers for it but how come then it doesn't
recognize the card?

Any ideas appreciated. Thanks

When you do a ris boot you need to have the driver in two locations. One for
XP to be installed during setup and one for ris so that it can start the
installation of XP.
if you get this image does not contain.... It means that you don't have the
right driver att the right place for the Ris part of the installation.

To fix this follow these steps
1. download the newest driver from intels web. You are looking for
pro2kxp.exe
2. Extract the drivers
3. copy *.sys, *.dll and *.inf to the i386 folder of your risimage
4. restart ris service
