win xp rebooting for no reason

my win xp system every so often reboots for no reason. I
would be surfing, writing with word, or other things and
the system will just reboot. Sometimes, when I turn off
the computer from the start menu, the system reboots!
what gives? Any help would be most appreciated.

Rt click on MyComputer>select Properties>Advanced>Startup and
Recovery-Settings. Uncheck Automatically
Restart. Next time you may get a blue screen with error messages. Post
the message here.
