Win XP Pro shutdown problem

My friend sent me the following problem. Any ideas?

when I go to shut down my xp pro....I get a dialog box that says
" end program_uguru_event_rec " and I have to click..end now...and then
windows shuts down in 2-3 minutes.....it use to shut down in 10-12
seconds....any ideas..?? I would love to solve this one......

Have them uninstall the uGuru motherboard utility suite...
Reboot.
