WIN XP password help

Would anyone happen to know how to bypass or get around a password for
Win XP? I know about the password recovery disk you can make that
allows you to reset if forgotten, but this is a co-workers daughter's
computer and needless to say she never made one. I was curious if
running the Windows installation and then the recovery console might
wipe it out and allow me back in?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
