Win Xp Partition Problem

Installed win xp, mistakenly entered 4 gb as C drive
size, instead of 40 gb.

Bought Partition Magic. Can't install it due to error
#117 and #108.

Computer thinks it is out of disk space.

Doesn't see the remaining 36 gb.

Win XP Diskmanagement doesn't help.

Networked with daughter's computer hence reluctance to
reinstall win xp.

any suggestions?
 
Did you...ahem...partition and format the remaining 36 GB?
