Win XP Networking

I have a home network consisting of Netgear RP114 router, and three
computers. My internet is DSL. One computer is a Windows 98, one is a
Windows ME, and one is a Win XP Pro SP2. I can se the Win 98 and Win
ME computers from the Win XP computer, but cannot see the Win XP
computer from the win 98 and ME computers. I have tried to ping the XP
computer by name and IP from the ME computer, but it does not see it.
When pinging by name, i get an unknown host error, and when I ping by
IP, the request times out.

This problem occurred (i think) when I upgraded from XP SP1 to SP2. I
had suspected that there may be a security issue so I made sure that
the Windows firewall was disabled. There are no other firewalls
currently installed on the computer, but at one point my son had tried
to install the free version of Zone Alarm. It would not install
properly so we disabled it.

I would appreciate any help.

A little clarification.....

When I look in the network neighborhood on the XP machine, the other
computers do not show up in the network neighborhood. However, I am
able to connect to the share on the other computer through "Map Network
Drive", using the \\server\share convention. The other computers will
also respond by name and IP when I ping from the "command" window on
the XP machine

thanks again,

jack
