Hi

Sorry if this has been covered before, but since I'm planning on selling 2
of my windows computers, and I read the legal mumbo jumbo about license
transfer to a 3rd party, but I don't find any statement of how you are to
do this? I am the original owner(built myself) of the software and the
computer with which I plan to include the original disk and license code.
The second computer is a laptop with original restore disks for that model
laptop which automatically includes win xp home as well. Do I do nothing
and tell the new owner not to worry about it? Activation shouldn't be a
problem since the hardware is the same with the exception of I think I put a
video card in since I used that software.

Appreciate any and all information on this subject as I desire to make this
a totally legal transfer with no worries of this coming back to haunt me.

Dave, as long as they are original M$ disks and COA's to go with the
computer, just pass them along with the PC's being sold, as long as you
didn't make copies of them to use for yourself.

Simply include the original disks and licenses and you are covered. If you
created any copies for archiving you will need to destroy them.
