Win-XP home fails Backup

I'm using the backup software that comes with Win-XP Home.
I am trying to backup "System State" and create a rescue floppy
according to instructions in the wizard. It does create the
backup.bkf file okay, but refuses to create the recovery floppy.
Error says it is unable to create files necessary to build the
floppy.

In XP Home the ASR Floppy Disk does not work . It will
NOT backup to a CD. You can back up to a folder on your
hard drive then burn it to a CD. The native program in XP
will not span CD's though.
