Win XP freezes during printer driver update

I updated the printer driver (HP printer - unsure if matters now - with driver from HP site) and now I am unable to reboot my Win XP machine (freezes at boot up screen) and I am uncertain how to get back to use old driver or get to BIOS to possibly stop this never-ending loop. I'll sure appreciate ideas on how to restore (don't wish to config C at this point due to many other programs I installed that were working well). Thanks

Will it boot from Safe Mode , where you can roll-back the printer driver ?

JYM, thanks for your note. Don't know how to get to XP safemode or previous restore point. Thanks

Can you start in safe mode? Try pressing repeatedly the F8 key while
booting, and choosing safe mode with the arrow keys. Then you could do
a System restore to before you installed the driver.

Good luck, hope this helps
