Win XP Fails to restore from hibernation.

I have three very similar computers, the one runs Win XP Pro with SP2, the
other has Win XP Pro SP1 and the other Win XP MCE 2005. A month ago all the
computers simply refused to resume windows from hibernate. The one with SP1
is used as a mail server and turns on every morning from hibernate to
download e-mail, and when the problem started it sometimes came out of
hibernation, but now it just refuses. When the computers are then restarted
they say that they’ve experienced a serious error and then if I send the
report it gives no reason for the problem and only says that error reporting
has successfully completed.

I have a feeling that the problem might be caused some windows update
because the problem started at more or less the same time on all computers.

I would really appreciate it if some one could help.

Your Hibernation folder may need to be emptied and refreshed.

Open your Control Panel and select Power Options >
Hibernate and uncheck the box next to "Enable Hibernation"
and click "apply".

Next, perform a Disk Cleanup:
Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup

Afterward, reboot your computer. Go back and enable Hibernation
and reboot once again and you'll have a new Hibernation File.
