Win XP & Dos

I am using a program that uses the DOS PKZIP program as a
backup method. The problem is, I can't get PKZIP or
PKUNZIP to function in XP.
All it does is bring up the command help options. It works
in all other windows environments other than XP.
Can anyone help??
