I am repeatidly being asked to activate windows xp pro. Although it
activates sucessfully everytime! I've tried regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll &
regsvr32.exe licdll and it still asks me fo it!

Any help is much appreciated.

I had the same problem with Office XP. I needed to be logged on as
Administrator for the activation to be recognized. Maybe the same thing
will help with the XP Pro issue.

If you go to Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools -
Activate Windows, does it say you are already activated?

If so, this is a problem with the reminder at boot; I done know what
runs that but the actual program is wpabaln.exe - so try looking for
that and rename it.

If not, I suspect a trojan having fun with the activation database
files. When freshly activated, it is a good idea to make a copy of
those (they fit on a floppy), then if it happens again, copy them back
and reboot. And do a careful check with AV and with Anti-spyware like
AdAware SE or Spybot
