win dual boot

Andy

I have win2k pro on c: and win2k3 server eval on d: drive.
After install of win2k3, there is an os choices menu. I
have since deleted the win2k3 and installed linux on d:.
How can I get rid of the os choices menu? The closest I
could come to the answer on microsoft knowledge base is to
edit the boot.ini file. I cannot find any boot.ini file.

Any help?

Hi--

Boot.ini is (usually) on the C: drive, but it's hidden and read-only. In
Windows Explorer, click Tools -> Folder Options, go to "view" select "Show
hidden files and folders" and de-select "Hide protected operating system
files", click OK

Go to C: and right-click boot.ini, click properties, de-select "Read-only"
then open it in Notepad and delete the 2003 line. Be sure to have a backup

Andy,
Hey!I don't know if this would solve your problem but
have you thought of enabling 'all files' in 'folder
options' under 'view' in windows explorer? Boot.ini may
not show up if this is not enabled.

P.S - Precisely,do the following - start 'explorer',pull
down 'view',click on 'folder options',click
on 'view',under hidden files, toggle 'show all files' and
click ok.Boot.ini might show up in c:\ after this.
