win 32 generic host & svchost.exe error

I have two problems that happen at startup, that I’m pretty sure are related
svchost.exe application error the instruction at 0x7c9105f8 referenced memory
at 0x00000010. the memory could not be read be read and generic host process
for win 32 services Error signature szappname: szapp: 0.0.0.0 sz
modname : unknown szmodver: 0.0.0.0 offset 7c9105f8 error contents
C:/docume`1/owner/locals~1/temp1/wer02cb.dir00/svchost.exe.mdmp and
C:/docume`1/owner/locals~1/temp1/wer02cb.dir00/appcompat.txt I have tried to
hit debug on both just freezes the computer, i cant even shut down and i have
no sound when the error accurs. i check the sound card everything is working
fine but it says i have no sound device dosent make sense. I able not able to
connect to the intert do anything. I did the download from windows still it
didn't help. I have a Compaq Presario 6420nx desktop running windows xp home
edition with sp2. Can anyone help?

Do a thorough virus and spyware scan of your computer. If you can't get on line get a friend to download these programs and run them to help clean up the computer. There are tools available but see what these programs show up. I'm sure others can suggest additional programs.

If it is beyond you to run these clean up programs take it to a computer repair shop and get them to do the clean up for you.
