Win 2k Joining a 2003 Domain--Win 2K password reset

HELP!!... Thank in advance for those that reply

I reasently joined a Win 2K Pro computer to a Win 2003 Domain. All worked
well except that the Local Admin account {Not Named Administrator} as reset.
As a result when I rejoined the Workgroup to load the Profile, the computer
is not Accesable!!! Any Hints or Tricks to this little problem? I have tried
many combps of user name and pass, Including the one used to access the
domain, All with no luck.

Due to reading article by article {my Search skills SUCK apparently} I ran
acroos recovery tools. However, This is not my goal. I am looking for a
reason as to why the local Administrator account was reset to something other
than the existing Password and the 2003 Domain password. Since I have been
doing 2003 upgrades, this is a very important issue. I'm very thankful that
it happened on a test network and not a Live one.
