Win 2003 doesnt boot

AFter i installed win. 2003 and setup is complited windows loaded fine. but after that every time i try to boot after entering the password i only see the background and noting else happens...
i can use ctrl alt del to see what is running and run programms
What should i do to fix this, last time i installed win. 2003 i had the same problem....

I have to mention i have 2HD's. On disk 1 win xp is installed, and on hd 2 win 2003.

i just booted to safe mode to look at the events log and i see two errors that accure on boot up

it tells you what ACPI is. If you have never been able to run Windows 2003 successfully then that tells me your computer is incompatible with that operating system. If you have then it must be in your power settings either in the BIOS or in the options in the Power applet of the Control Panel.

The first one you post is the one that has me most concerned at the moment. That looks to me like the device that is master on the primary IDE cable. That is usually your primary harddrive.
