If only he still particiated in these groups as well.

Not much time for the newsgroups these days, David, and I tend to stay away
from the XP ones. Too crowded, hard to manage, just too chaotic, too many
posts. I spend most of my newsgroup time in the 95/98 groups. Much more fun!

Someone has to help those in the Win 95 NGs now that MS has stopped supporting Win 95 <BG> You still support the Win 98 NGs don't you, Kelly? I wonder how much longer it will be before MS 'officially' stops supporting Win 98/ME...

Any chance you could post your URL for 'shutdown' problems, say every 2 hours - it will save having to post it a dozen times a day <VBG>. If not, perhaps MS could provide a guide on how to 'easily search news groups'.

I don't see any of your same named peers adopting that attitude.

So?

It's not like we're cut out of a cookie cutter or some such thing. We're
just individual people who hang out on newsgroups and answer questions in
between the moments of the rest of our lives.

No Will, I left the Win98 groups a great while back. I didn't mean to leave
completely, but the XP groups needed help. Miss them though.(

As per your latter mention, I don't have the projected stats readily
available to post.

Hmm and hmm, not from where I sit! Ok, I will settle for your second line.
But still not fair for you to be having all the fun, Jim.)

Tell ya what: You come work XP for three days and I will work Win98 for a
week and then lets hear your view, deal?
