WIN 2000 Pro ReInstall

The system is screwed up.
-I cleared out viruses but failed to install Norton Systems Works
-Used the WIN 2000 to reinstall but did not solve problems
-Keep getting a "Windows Installer" request to "Insert MS Redist Disk &
click ok". Cancel this to proceed on

How do I erase everything and do a clean reinstall from the WIN 2000
bootable CD?

Is there a less destructive way?

I keep getting SYhost /memory errors now, but memory and Chkdsks are all OK.

bootable CD?

I have only done this from a Win98 boot disk, but you should be able
to do the same from the CD

Run FDISK (if on the CD) to totally remove the partition, then install
the partition again and go from there

If FDISK is not on the Win2k CD, you will need to browse around to see
what command IS available to "dismount" and "mount" a hard drive
