Just bought Win 2000 prfessional this month. Installed in a puter, works
great for the time you are using it. Then when you sht down the system, and
a few hours later start your puter up again, and, get a error message about
some file that is missing. Format hard drive, re-load win 2000 back again
and all necessary other programs, works great until shut down for an hour or
so, start it up again, only to get an error message again, same message,
different file. Would really like the help from someone. Being a disabled
veteran I need the puter to work. MOBO SL-67EV with PIII 800 mhz processor (
reads only 600 mhz )and 327 mg ram. HELP

What file? Accurate details of the problem and error messages you receive
are the key to your solution.

What file is missing? What is the *exact* error message? What do your
system event logs report? What changes, if any, did you make to the
computer's hardware or software configuration immediately prior to the
onset of the problem? What specific troubleshooting steps have you
already taken, and what were the results of each?
