I use IIS5 on windows 2000 server SP3.
I use Frontpage site with extension server FP 2002.

My client is FP 2000.

My problem is that NTFS ACL are not setted with Frontpage whereas they
seems to be ok when i look after them running FP.
I've tried to check the integrity of the site and to repair it with
ext fp2002, but no positive results.

I have to set manually NTS permission but I think it is not a good
solution.

Every help is welcome !

Thanks

Hi

Did you mean the Permissions are changing after opening site in FrontPage??

What is the exact NTFS permission that you are trying to achieve and what’s
the result??

ONE important THING , SETTING PERMISSION MANUALLY IS NOT AT ALL A GOOD
SOLUTION :(

thanks

No,
when I want to set autorization with frontpage nothing change from
NTFS point of view.
I have tried to use extension FP 2002 to set new permission, and this
is the same result : permission seems to be set when I open frontpage,
but when I check NTFS permissions at the root directory nothing
change.
Exact permission are :
OWS_3569353091_admin , OWS_3569353091_browser, SYSTEM, INTERACTIVE,
NETWORK

Hi

In FrontPage server extensions 2002. The users are added to the local
group ows_*browser, admin, etc...
Try creating a new role. Now FrontPage will create a local group
ows_*newrole in your system and will add the users inside that.
If you are referring this kind of a behavior, its expected behavior ( if
the computer is not a domain controller)

let me know if you want to know more about this issue

thanks
