will not paste multiple copies

On my office computer, when I select a range of cells that I want multiple copies of, I just select the cells, hit copy, then select the range that I want to paste to, hit paste, and Excel pastes as many copies as will fit into the destination space. On my home computer (and the computers of several of my students), it will only paste one copy no matter what the size of the destination space is. I can find no reason for this - or any setting in the program that would cause it.

If you copy an entire column or a row then select several columns or rows and
paste, you will get multi-duplicates of the original column or row.

Cell ranges do not copy duplicates no matter what the destination range size.

Excel at work could be receiving some help from an Add-in or macro.
