Will not load or run disc

My computer will not load or run any programmes. (discs inserted in the rom)

Please clarify this. Is there any error message? Can you run files like text
or songs ?
And what do you mean by load ?

Hi

My Pc will not run any programmes from the disc or the desktop either. I did
have 360 share on there which was running fine. Every time we boot up this
interface would load up but nothing else, so we were no longer able to go
into this and down laod music. I have since deleted this off as I thought
this may have been the problem. I have installed my new ipod which also
installed itunes. But if you load a music disc or any other disc into the
drive, you hear it wurr as though it is going to start up but then nothing.
This is the problem with all disc whether they be music dvd or games.
