Will my index automatically track pagination changes?

I need to create an index in Word for my manuscript, but if I do it now and
the pagination of the manuscript changes between now and its publication,
will the page number references in the index change automatically?
 
They will change when the index is updated, either by printing or manually
by your pressing F9.
