If you have the money to buy an X2 4800+ to go with your two 6600GTs,
then I would advise you to go back to the drawing board.

Instead, perhaps consider getting two 6800GTs and an X2 4200+ or 4400+.
The CPU will be more than fast enough to handle any single-core game
for a couple of years, and then you'll find most new releases will make
use of both cores.

Everything's relative to your overall system though. It may seem
pointless recommending a CPU if we don't know your budget, the rest of
the planned system and what other useage the PC will get.

You can only use one Socket 939 processor in a given board, otherwise
you have to move to Socket 940 and Opterons.

The A64 4000+ Socket 939 is a good choice at ~$475USD.

Go with the "(939-pin) AMD ATHLON64 CPU w/ HyperTransport
Technology"

On a more serious note, most games aren't dual core
optimized, get one of the latter 5, probably whichever
between 3200-3800 fits the budget best. The 3800 would be
more appropriate considering the dual 6600GTs.
