Will FP 2003 screw up ASP code

I know FP earlier versions have been avoided as asp file editors, I use Notepad or Araneae.
I am about to build VP-ASP shopping cart with many asp pages that can be customised.

1. Is it completely safe to use FP2003 to edit these?
2. If I want to add html code to the pages, that I want FP to produce in WYSIWYG, will I not have to risk these files to the control on FP2003 anyway?

Thanks
Phil

ASP being modified by FP3. It is very minor however.
