Will Excel import a spooled file to look the same every month?

I take a "spooled" file from a DOS based program every month and I need to
open it into an Excel spreadsheet. Do I need to use a Macro or some other
function to make it import information into the same cells (and how would I
go about doing that) since the spooled file does not bring in the information
in the order I need it, or am I just going to have to do the worksheet over
and over. The worksheet is to show our customers in top buying order and
profit margins. We run Office XP.

this depends on the structure of your imported file. How do you import
it currently (maybe you could record these steps with the macro
recorder)
