Will Excel create a checkbox?

I'm a new, thus far self taught MS Excel user.
I'm using Excel to create forms, that take information submitted int
the forms and calculate new values with them.

One thing I feel should be possible, but have been unable to find an
reference to, is to make a check box.

simply a field, that merely clicking on it with your mouse inserts
value. (an X, a check, whatever.. same value everytime)

Is this possible??

On a related note, I am also considering that I may need dropboxe
later..

Thanks in advance for any response

When you look at the userform in VBE you should see a tools dialog, if it
isn't there go to View>Toolbox and click it. You can drag these controls
onto your form then.

Forgive me if I have misunderstood but when you go into the VBE an
create a user form, does the "toolbox" menu not popup? If not, go t
"view" then "control toolbox"

If you are making excel forms instead of user forms then in excel
"view", "toolbars", "control toolbox"

You can click and draw a checkbox from these.

The comboboxes are also on the toolbox bar.
