will ATI 9600 8x AGP work on Gigabyte board?

I just bought a Gigabyte board 81PE1000Pro socket 478. The specs indicate
it supports 8X AGP.

Detailed specs show 8X (.8v) / 4X (1.5v).

I'm considering purchasing a ATI All in wonder 9600 128 MB with TV tuner,
video capture, etc. The specs on it indicate 8X as well.

However the card's specs lead me to believe that there may be an
incompatiblity that would make the card run at only 4X and not at 8X.

What's the truth? Will the Gigabyte mother board and ATI AIW 9600 128 mb
pro card work together and actually run at 8X AGP?

The point is moot. The difference you will see, between 4X and 8X, will be
negligable. Unless, of course, you are running software/games that will use
double the card's memory bandwidth at 4X. Highly doubtful, though.

I plan to run 3d games, utilize the dual monitor features with games like
Flight sim 2004.
Video editing also will be a big use of this system. Not sure how it will
perform...
