width of a line

I am typing a questionaire and inserting lines. For whatever reason, WORD
decides to make the line as thick as it wants to. Should I be doing
something differently?
 
See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFldsFms/LinesInForms.htm. If you're using
underlines or underline leaders, they'll vary with the font size (but you
can change this for just the underline or leader).
