Widescreen LCD Questions

I'm thinking of a widescreen LCD for video editing and would really
appreciate some input. Has anyone any experience of the Philips 170w4p and
Samsung 172w? Comparisons?

Yes two OUTSTANDING monitors, didn't favor one over the other tho.

Thanks for the response Chris. They're both the same price, and I'm really
trying to see them up and running side by side (the shop I saw them in
doesn't actually have facilities for testing, which I find incredible!). The
Philips seems to have a fixed stand but allows portrait mode, which I'd find
useful. On the other hand the Samsung has a great stand and in the reviews
I've read of it, it's come out well. I can't find any reviews of the Philips
online and the monitor isn't even mentioned on the Philips website!

Anymore advice is greatly appreciated.
